In North South I have finally recorded the events of the my first week in the Falkland Islands/Islas Malvinas in 1966. This proved to be a critical year in the evolving dispute between Britain and Argentina over sovereignty. The hi-jack of a DC-4 was a key event in the build up to the 1982 war. Now (in 2015) with the 50th anniversary looming, there is an opportunity to consider future options that reflect the global challenges of climate change and resource depletion.
